Finding solutions for investments in challenging situations and complicated jurisdictions

Étienne Épron is a French lawyer, partner in Sagasser’s mergers-acquisitions/real-estate department.

His practice comprises company law, real-estate, corporate and tax structuring, restructuring and setting-up of joint-ventures, both in France and abroad.

Thanks to his French-German education and to his prior experience within the Moscow office of a French leading law firm, he has developed a particular proficiency in cross border M&A transactions involving German, French and Russian entities/assets.

His current practice customarily encompasses advising French/foreign investment funds and family offices within the frame of the acquisition, the legal management and the disposal of real-estate assets located in France, among which first tier office premises.

His Russian-oriented practice covers notably structuring foreign investments in/from Russia, acquisitions of Russian entities, setting-up joint-ventures and negotiating shareholders agreements in relation to Russian entities.

In France, since 2009, his practice also comprises domestic M&A transactions, in relation to various sectors among which the defence sector, digital communication, biotech and IT services companies.

Étienne Épron also regularly advises French early-stage entities in the legal aspects of their growth and capital management, in particular with regard to the structuring of the remuneration of their employees through the implementation of capital incentive schemes and the raising of the funds needed to finance their growth.

Étienne Épron is the author of several articles on international sanctions and is regularly invited by the media to intervene on that topic.
